At Knowledge First Financial, we are committed to creating a strong company culture that includes compensation and benefits, meaningful rewards and recognition programs, and other employee-focused initiatives. The goal is to foster environment where employees are motivated and empowered to do their best at work every day.
In an effort to continually improve its employment brand, the company looked externally to measure its work place culture against the best of the best, and sought to achieve certification as a Great Place to Work®. With the Great Place to Work® certification, Knowledge First Financial was successfully considered to be on the 2018 Financial Services and Insurance List.
Great Place to Work® certification is based on direct feedback from employees, who participate in an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience. Knowledge First Financial ranked equal to or above the average results for other Canadian Financial Services & Insurance companies in all five Trust Index© Dimensions – credibility, respect, fairness, price and camaraderie – and earned an overall score of 85%.
In January 2018, Knowledge First Financial acquired Heritage Education Funds to pursue the shared goal of helping families maximize their education savings through Registered Education Savings Plans. Since then, the strong work culture has been the enabling force to bring two companies successfully together as one.
“While the company sets the vision,” said George Hopkinson, President & CEO. “It is the employees that create exuberance, passion and a teamwork toward a common goal making Knowledge First a great place to work. Thank you and congratulations to each and every employee for making a difference in our work place.”
